The Mojito Report
I love Mojitos. Nachos and Mojitos may are the reasons that I knew I could never fully conform to the Skinny Bitch guidelines dictated in the book. I make superb nachos, I may have mentioned before, but I have never made a mojito, despite my intense “research” on the topic.
Here’s an easy Mojito recipe…
- 2 oz. Rum
- Club Soda
- 2 lime wedges
- Mint
- 1 1/2 oz. Sugar Syrup
The directions I read said to “muddle” the lime, mint, and sugar syrup together in the bottom of the glass, then add ice and top with rum. Yum!
I discovered mojitos 2 summers ago at a graduation party. Being a big mint fan I was hooked. As I said, I have never had the opportunity to make them but I always have some bottles on hand.
So far my favorite Mojito is the original by Parrot Bay. I have tried many kinds by now and this one is just smoooooth. I had some mint growing on my back deck this summer and have taken to tearing some up and dropping enough in the Mojito bottle to fill the neck. Delish!
